How to Read your eBook

Here’s a quick guide to help you transfer your eBooks onto your Kindle or other eBook readers.

For Kindle Users: Using Amazon's Send to Kindle Service

Amazon's Send to Kindle service offers a simple way to transfer eBooks directly through your browser. Here's how:

Method 1: Upload Files Through the Send to Kindle Website

Go to the Send to Kindle Page

  1. Open your browser and visit Amazon’s Send to Kindle page.

Drag and Drop Your File

  1. Simply drag the eBook file (supported formats include .mobi, .epub, .pdf, and more) onto the upload area on the page.
  2. Log into your Amazon account if prompted.

Select Your Device

  1. Choose the Kindle device or app where you’d like the eBook delivered.
  2. Click Send.

Access Your eBook

  1. Your eBook will appear in your Kindle library shortly after.

Method 2: Use the Kindle Email Address

Locate Your Kindle Email Address:

  1. Go to your Kindle device or app and find your unique Kindle email address (it ends in @kindle.com).
  2. Alternatively, log into your Amazon account, navigate to Manage Your Content and Devices, and click the Preferences tab.

Send Your eBook via Email:

  1. Compose a new email, attach the eBook file, and send it to your Kindle email address.
  2. If needed, include "Convert" in the subject line to change the file into a Kindle-friendly format.

For Other eBook Readers (e.g., Kobo, Nook):

Check Supported Formats

  1. Most eBook readers support formats like .epub, .pdf, or .mobi. Verify which format your device requires.

Connect Your Device to Your Computer

  1. Use a USB cable to connect your eBook reader to your computer.

Transfer the File

  1. Open your device’s folder on your computer.
  2. Drag and drop the downloaded eBook file into the appropriate folder (often named “Books” or “Documents”).

Eject and Enjoy:

  1. Safely eject the device from your computer.
  2. The eBook should now be accessible in your library.

For Mobile Apps (Kindle, Kobo, or Others)

Download the App:

  1. Install the appropriate app for your device from your app store.

Import or Sync:

  1. For Kindle: Use either the Send to Kindle website or the email method above.
  2. For other apps: Look for an import option or sync your account to load the eBook.
